Away from home: A reflection of my research journey and accomplishment

Abstract

Studying abroad for a Master by Research is an enriching experience that offers academic growth, cultural exposure, and professional development. However, studying abroad poses its own challenges. This article contains an expression of experience of a foreign student at a Malaysian university. Living in a foreign requires adaptability, cross-cultural communication ability, and global networking skills.  While challenges also include adjusting to a new education system or managing finances may arise, the long-term benefits including career advancement and personal growth make it a rewarding endeavor. Overall, pursuing a Master by Research abroad is a transformative journey that combines academic rigor with life-changing experiences.
